Spring Playgroup 2021
Playing with Nature
March 1st to June 25th
Morning groups Mon-Fri 9:00am-1:00pm
Extended hours from 1:00pm-3:00pm

March comes and we return to Prospect Park. It’s still chilly and the trees are bare. We can dig for some treasures under the hardened ground, but best of all is to be there outside – witnessing Spring coming from Day One!
Birds chirping, squirrels making nests, tiny bits of green showing on every single branch and the sun shining warmer each day, calling for the turtles to come out of the water to soak up the rays. We love Spring!
We go to different parts of the park, singing cheerful songs while walking. We collect sticks, stones, and we celebrate every single change we see. We tell stories, observe nature and build our own “home”, making little pots out of clay, little food out of mud, stoves out of rocks and sticks, brooms out of branches to clean the leaves, climb little trees, run with our “horses” made of sticks and use our imagination to create our own environment in the park as if we were living there. We Play! And there is nothing better than that.

Spring playgroup will run from March 1st – June 25th ; there is no playgroup for Spring Recess, March 29th – April 2nd and Memorial Day, May 31st.
